BARCELLONA: Sergi Roberto, Busquets and Piqué are not untouchable anymore

Barcelona could continue its process of rejuvenating the squad in the summer market, depriving itself of some of the cornerstones of recent seasons: last year the club decided to sell to Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal, while in summer the positions of Sergi Roberto, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué could be evaluated. The first two are about to expire their contracts in 2022, while the centre-back has an agreement until 2024. The three players will be asked to revise their contracts downwards considering they are no longer indispensable players for the coach. The alternative is a consensual resolution. In the list of possible leaver there is also Antoine Griezmann, whose performance did not turn out to be in line with the expense made by the company. Neto, Umtiti, Junior Firpo, former Juventus Pjanic, former Inter Coutinho, Braithwaite and Matheus are also out of the project.
