Augsburg Sporting Director, Marko Jurendic, believes the team has been bolstered by the arrival of Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka, who joined on a season-long loan from Brentford on transfer deadline day, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Onyeka sought regular playing time after leaving the Premier League outfit, and Jurendic was eager to secure his services.
“The opportunity to bring Frank Onyeka to FCA was a chance we wanted to take," he said on the club's website.
Jurendic praised Onyeka's international experience, athleticism, and robustness, stating he brings a strong presence to the pitch.
With Onyeka's addition, Augsburg now boasts a well-rounded midfield, offering different player types.
"We are very happy that Frank has decided to join us. We wish him a good start and much success at FCA," Jurendic added, expressing optimism about Onyeka's impact on the team.
