Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl has hailed Baba Rahman as ‘a great talent’ in his latest chorus of praises to the Ghana defender.

The 20-year-old has been a revelation in the Bundesliga this season – putting in solid consistent displays.

The former Greuther Furth man is one of few players to have played almost every minute of his club’s campaign to show his importance to the side.

Rahman’s exploits in Germany won him a regular starting role with the Black Stars at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl continues to rave about the budding star – describing him as a ‘great talent’.

“He is a great talent and fits into our style of play,” he told the Bundesliga preview show.

“He can help us a lot.”

Baba Rahman has started 21 of Augsburg’s 24 games in the Bundesliga this season.

The club are currently 6th – three points adrift a Champions League qualification spot.
