Defender, Ashleigh Plumptre is set to return to the Nigeria Super Falcons team after 7 months of absence, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

The Saudi Arabia based player will return for the third round of the CAF Olympic Qualifying double header against Cameroon according to NigeriaFootball.ng.

The report say the former Leicester City central defender has been included in the 25-man squad list to play the Central African team this month.

Plumptre had taken leave off the team for personal reasons, playing last for the team at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup’s Round of 16 clash against England.

The Super Falcons will play in the Indomitable Lionesses in a double header  in Douala Cameroon on February 23, 2024 and the second league for Abuja, Nigeria’s capital will take place three days later.

The winner of the tie play the winner between Tanzania or South Africa in the final round of the qualifying series in April 2024.
