Ashanti Gold midfielder Tijani Joshua says his side took a giant step towards claiming the league title after coming from behind to defeat Medeama.

The Miners were stunned early on in the first half thanks to a strike from Kwesi Donsu.

But two goals from Ivorian Didier Kore ensured coach Bashiru Hayford’s team picked up three points and move to 48 on the season.

Joshua says the points against Medeama is a giant step towards their ultimate success.

“The game against Medeama was difficult but we are very happy to have picked up all the points,” Joshua told GHANAsoccernet.com

“We need to be focused because we have three more finals to go but this is a giant step towards the title.”
