Asante Kotoko General Manager Opoku Nti has decided to contest for the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee slot.

“He has decided to contest and we (Kotoko) feel he has the requisite qualification to stake a claim on the board,” Kotoko management member Edmund Ackah told GHANASoccernet.com.

The ex-international will contest for one of the six Premier Division slots with elections scheduled for 29 September 2015.

The Ghana FA Executive Committee is a 22-man body including the President, six Premier Leagie representatives, four from the Division One League, 10 Regional FA chairmen and 1 representative from the constituent bodies.

Nti ventured into football administration two years ago when he replaced Executive Board Chairman Dr. KK Sarpong.

Meanwhile, there is an injunction on the Ghana FA presidential election which was scheduled for next month in Tamale after an Accra-based lawyer John Quayson appealed a Fast Track High Court.
