Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah says the team will profit immensely from the possible return of Asamoah Gyan for the crucial game against Algeria.

The Black Stars go into the crunch game on Friday in desperate need of a win to revive their campaign at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana suffered a crashing start with a 2-1 loss to Senegal on Monday in Mongomo.

The team however played the opener without their prolific captain who is still battling illness.

There are however signs that the Al Ain hitman could return for Ghana’s second group game against Algeria.

And Jonathan Mensah says his return will be much needed due to his prolific goalscoring record at international level.

“About Asamoah Gyan, he is the best in Africa and he is always scoring when he plays for Ghana,” he said.

“So I know he’s going to make a big difference if he is going to play for us [against Algeria].”

Yes whether or no Gyan Ghana can't win. I doubt the uniqueness people finds on Gyan. They are talking so much. Indeed empty barrel noises most.

Well Gyan scores wherever he plays not only for GH.
