Aribo is working hard, but everyone can't make the team - Ruben Selles
English Premier League team, Southampton Coach, Ruben Selles has described his helplessness in fielding Nigeria international, Joe Aribo in the main team, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Eagles midfielder has fallen below the pecking order playing just eleven minutes of that Wolves horror-show as Ruben Selles was placed in charge at the end of a contentious and curtailed Jones reign.
He has not kicked a ball in the Premier League since, with his only outing coming in the FA Cup giant-killing at the hands of Grimsby Town at the start of March.
Aribo was called on to the bench in their match against Westham, but didn't feature as the Saints lost by a goal to nil.
And prior to the Manchester City match where Southampton lost by four goals where Aribo was not in the match day sqaud Selles had spoken of the player's absence in his team stating he will get minutes 'when the time comes'.
“We have been talking about the players that are not in the squad now for two months,” Selles admitted. “I mean, I have a lot of players and they are working really well.
”But unfortunately, I can only pick 20 in the squad and I can only play 11. So, if instead of having 30 players we have 20 to 23, we will not have this question.
"Joe Aribo and Mislav Orsic are good players and are working well as much as the other ones,”
“And when the time comes, if I decide that they can come into the pitch, they will do it and they will be ready for it because they are two great boys and they are working really hard to get themselves back into the team.”
