Anderlecht winger Frank Acheampong is among seven foreign-based players invited for Ghana’s Olympic team All Africa Games qualifier against Mozambique.

Acheampong alongside Ebenezer Ofori (AIK),  Rahman Chibsah (Sassuolo), Adam Basit (Free State Stars), Obeng Regan (?ukari?ki) and Isaac Honny (BEC Tero Sasana) have been invited for the return leg fixture on April 11 in Accra.

Coach Malik Jabir is anxious to advance to the next stage of the qualifiers after losing 1-0 in Maputo.

“Yes I have invited seven players but the decision lies with their clubs,” he said

“You know their clubs are not mandated to release them because it’s not a FIFA sanctioned competition.

“That’s the reason why I invited a large pool of seven players, hoping that I will get at least two or three.”

It is important for the u23 to win the return encounter because long term the u23 represents the age from which to draw players who are ready age wise to play for black stars. I think mr jabr you will need to work closely with borbor and a grant to pool the best players from fringe of black stars and the exceptional former and current black satellites. Good luck meteors always
