Amorim admits need to adapt after difficult England spell

AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim says he is determined not to repeat the mistakes that contributed to his unsuccessful spell in England.

The Portuguese coach acknowledged that one factor in his difficulties at Manchester United was his reluctance to adapt his approach to the characteristics of the players available to him.

However, Amorim also made clear that he still intends to maintain his footballing principles in his current role. He suggested that adapting to his squad does not mean abandoning the ideas he wants AC Milan to follow.

AC Milan are fifth in the Serie A table, with 11 points from their opening five matches.
