According to African Football HQ as reported by Goal.com, the Nigeria international turned down an opportunity to join the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Musa is contracted to Saudi Arabian club side Al-Nassr who he joined from English Premier League club Leicester City two years ago. He still has two years left on his current deal.

The 27-year-old scored four goals in 29 appearances across all competitions last season, helping Al-Nassr to a second place finish in the league and victory in the Sauidi Super Cup.

Basaksehir were crowned Turkish Super Lig champions for the very first time last season, ending four points clear of second-placed Trabzonspor.

As a result, they will compete in the UEFA Champions League this season and have been drawn in a group alongside Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.

Musa has scored 15 goals in 87 appearances for the Super Eagles.
