The Golden Eaglets fall to a goal to nil defeat to the young Carthage Eagles at Constantine courtesy of an own goal by Tochukwu Ogboji.

The Udoka Ugbade's boys started on the back foot as early as the beginning of the game as Ogboji turned in the ball into his own net in the second minute.

The Eaglets afterwards gradually got into the game as Abubakar Abdullahi missed a chance from close range in the 21st minute.

Another chance came 8 minutes later from a freekick, but the Nigerian team could not make anything out of the set piece as the half ended in favour of the North African side.

The Moroccans came out the dangerous side in the early part of the second phase as they almost score, but for a save from Richard Odoh two minutes into the half.

The Eaglets got a freekick in the 54th minute, but Hope Linus’ effort lacked power, went through the wall but saved by the goalkeeper.
