Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has allayed fears over a knock he picked up in the 2-1 defeat to Senegal on Monday.

The 24-year-old played the full throttle in the Black Stars’ disappointing defeat in their opening Group C match of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Agyemang-Badu left the Mongomo stadium after the game with a heavily strapped left knee.

The Udinese man however insists his ‘knock’ is not as serious as seen as he made his way into the team bus in discomfort.

“I have a knock but it is nothing serious so I will be fine,” he told MTNFootball.com.

Ghana was without influential captain Asamoah Gyan for the defeat to Senegal.

The Al Ain ace had been hit with an unspecified illness days after arriving in Mongomo for the start of the tournament.
