Ghana defender Awal Mohammed is anticipating a tough game on Sunday when the Black Stars take on the Syli national at the quarter final stage.

Coach Michel Dussuyer finished second in Group D after winning the highly divisive drawing of lots against Mali.

The Black Stars have looked good in their last two outings in the tournament, chopping wins against highly ranked Algeria and South Africa.

Coach Avram Grant’s side newly found cohesion will however be put to test when they come up against Guinea on Sunday and Awal Mohammed says he expects it to be decided by little details.

“It’s a big game.We beat them during the qualifiers but that will count for nothing in the competition,’’ Awal told Ghanasoccernet.com

‘”We are working hard every day to achieve our aims and that I am sure should be enough to see us through.”

“But little details should decide this one.”

Awal started in Ghana’s group opener against Senegal but has lost his position in the team since Grant abandoned the 3-5-2 formation.

Here is the thing. We really need to score first and early. This Guinea team is brimming with confidence and could easily take us down. We have to be careful.
