In-form Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says they have won nothing yet despite their recent surge at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The on-loan Celtic player put in one of his best performances for the Black Stars in their come-from-behind 2-1 win against South Africa on Tuesday night.

Wakaso covered every blade of grass on the pitch and was by far the most industrious for the Black Stars.

The win helped Ghana to book qualification to the quarter-finals and finished top of Group C but  Wakaso says there is no need to dwell on their vintage display.

“Great game and the win gives us much satisfaction but it’s just another game we have won nothing yet,” Wakaso told GHANASoccernet.com

“It’s important that we continue to work hard towards that trophy and that should be the focus.”

Ghana will meet the second-placed team from Group D and it could be Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Guinea or Mali.

Great job done Black stars, every player was very deemed fantastic except Jordan Ayew who need to adopt very fast as a normal striker.Jordan Ayew keep balls for himself sometimes leading him to miss so much opportunities. Like yesterday match when Avram Grant took him off and brought in Kwesi Appiah and John Boye the game changed. Appiah nearly score for Ghana, very very beautiful strike. Jordan Ayew is good no doubt about that but he need a game plan B to move his career forward. Every player did well hard-work. Football is all about hard work and determination and also prayers. All the best Black stars carry on like that God bless.Coaches knows more than we do
