Bayelsa Queens coach White Ogbonda has bemoaned his side Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament final loss to Nasarawa Amazons, attributing the defeat to fatigue despite having a good and undefeated run until the final, where they lost via a penalty shoot-out, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nasarawa Amazons were crowned the Champions of the fourth edition of the Betsy Obaseki Women Football in Benin City after defeating Bayelsa Queens 6-5 on Penalties after a goalless ninety minutes of football.

Assessing his side performance after the game, the former Rivers Angels gaffer posited that both teams gave a good account of themselves but at the end of the day, Nasarawa Amazons won adding that he was  proud of the way his girls played well by not conceding any goal.

"My players were fatigued after playing six matches in 10 days, but overall they did very well and played to instructions."

Next up is the Sheroes Cup Preseason Tournament coming up in Abuja next week where they would be hoping to compensate for this loss and also prepare for the 2024/25 NWFL Premiership campaign.
