Nigeria's U-17 women's football team, the Flamingos, have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand for the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The tournament will take place in the Dominican Republic from October 16 to November 3, 2024.

The Flamingos will kick off their campaign against New Zealand on October 16, followed by a match against Ecuador on October 19, and finally against the Dominican Republic on October 22.

Nigeria’s African counterparts, Kenya and Zambia are drawn in Group C and D respectively.

Bankole Olowookere’s side will be looking to improve on their third-place finish in the previous edition of the tournament held in India.
