The current African footballer of the year will be out for four weeks which means he will not play a part in the matches hence he has been replaced by Enugu Rangers’ left back Kenneth Igboke.

Igboke's inclusion brings the number of invited home based players to three with goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke of Enyimba and Sadiq Ismael of Remo Stars who were part of the initial list.

The Enugu born defender is an enterprising player with eye for goals as he has shown in the Nigeria Premier Football League 2023/2024 season especially with his stunner against Akwa United.

The 23-year-old will be the eyes of football-loving Nigerians who will be watching Igboke to justify his inclusion in the national team.
