Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has lauded Kenneth Igboke following his selection for the Super Eagles, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Igboke was added to the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic by head coach Finidi George on Tuesday.
The left-back replaces Victor Osimhen, who is sidelined due to injury.
llechukwu following Igoke’s invite, wished all the best, commended his hard work while he believes he will make Rangers proud.
"Congratulations Kenneth Igboke on your first national team call-up. This is a reward for hard work. I have no doubt in your ability from day one. I believe you will make me and the Rangers family proud in the national team. I wish you all the best, sabi player," Ilechukwu wrote on X.
The defender has scored three goals for Rangers this season and is expected to join the Super Eagles this weekend.
