Edo Queens have emerge champions of the 2024 WAFU B CAF Women's Champions League after thrashing Ainonvi FC in the final on Friday evening, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Captain Fantastic Suliat Abideen put Edo Queens ahead just before halftime with a low shot that caught the goalkepper napping.

Emem Essien doubled the lead after one hour of play before Elizabeth Ukandu's own goal on 76 minute to seal the win.

The Nigerian representatives who won all their matches scoring fourteen goals and conceding one to get to final secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over host club Inter D'Abidjan.

Edo Queens becomes second Nigeria Women's side to win the title after Bayelsa Queens and have now qualified for the prestigious CAF Women's Champions League.
