Plumptre, who plays for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of taking it one game at a time.

Despite the team's quality, she believes it's crucial not to get too caught up in the prospect of winning their 10th title.

"I don’t really like to talk about the future too much, my aim is to think about the present as much as possible,” the centre-back told the Super Falcons media.

“To take it one game at a time, and have the believe that we can win every games that we play.”

The Super Falcons finished fourth in the previous edition and are looking to improve on that performance.

They will face Tunisia in their opening match of WAFCON 2024 on Sunday.
