Making her debut in a continental competition for Super Falcons, the Tenerife forward scored and assisted one in 45 minutes of play as they went on to record a 3-0 opening win, a performance which drew applause and criticism on how her goal was celebrated.

Rinsola who played for Liverpool FC Women between 2018-2022 hit Jota's trademark gaming controller celebration, paying her last respect to the deceased, a decision which fans have viciously attacked her for.

In her response she shared; "It was for Diogo Jota and his brother as well, that was one of his biggest celebrations at the club especially. We call it the signature celebration, so I just wanted to do something for him. He was one of my best players at the club when I was there as well. May his soul rest in perfect peace."
