Valencia are in talks with Real Sociedad to re-sign Nigerian forward Umar Sadiq on loan, with the option to make the move permanent for €9 million, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Sadiq, who impressed during his six-month loan spell at Valencia last season, scored six goals in 19 league appearances, helping the team fight against relegation.

The 27-year-old's return to the Mestalla Stadium seems likely, with Valencia offering to cover his entire salary for the loan period.

However, Real Sociedad is reportedly holding out for a permanent sale, creating a tug-of-war between the two clubs.

Other Spanish clubs, including Celta Vigo, Girona, and Alavés, have also expressed interest in Sadiq.

Valencia's pursuit of the striker is part of their efforts to bolster their attacking lineup, alongside other targets like Mallorca's Cyle Larin and Girona's Bojan Miovski.
