Nigeria-Italian wingback  Destiny Udogie says will like to have another Caleb Okoli in his potential squad for 2026 when the Azzurri will hopefully play the World Cup.

Even though Udogie and Okoli both play for different club sides in Italy, the two defenders currently represent the Italia U-21 team.

So when the Udinese left-back was  asked to name the potential Italy squad for 2026 when the Azzurri hopefully play the World Cup, he without missing word includes Okoli.

“It would be a 3-5-2 with Donnarumma in goal, Bastoni on the left and then Okoli and Scalvini.” 20-year-old told Gazzetta via Footballitalia.

“Perhaps Verratti will be a bit old, so let’s say Tonali, Barella and one between Frattesi and Pellegrini.

“Let’s say Pellegrini. My friend Bellanova on the right, Scamacca and Raspadori up front. On the left? Either me or Dimarco, who is doing so well.” Udogie concluded.

Okoli plays for Atalanta alongside another Nigeria born forward Ademola Lookman who revealed he will convince the centerback to play for Nigeria.
