Trophy, medals for Kotoko anniversary match against Romanian side Petrolul

The trophy and medals for the winner of the Kotoko-Petrolul friendly international match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on September 4 arrived in Ghana from Turkey over the weekend.

A press conference is expected to be organised next week to unveil the magnificent trophy as well as the beautiful medals to the public.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pacific Football Ghana Limited, Eric Oppong Yeboah in an interview with Asantekotokosc.com after his return from Turkey last Friday disclosed that, they as organisers have been doing so much behind the scenes to ensure that, the game, which would mark Kotoko’s 80th anniversary, comes off smoothly.

“We are not leaving anything to chance. We have been working hard in the background to give Kotoko fans and the Ghanaian public an excellent game said Eric Oppong. “The trophy and the medals are in. We brought them from Turkey and in the course of next week, we are going to brief the media on the hotel and travel arrangements for the Romanian team. EuroTour will be at the media briefing to tell us what have been going in that direction” he added.

“At the press conference, aside the travel and hotel arrangements, we will also touch on the stadium entertainment on the match day among other important developments we believe the media will be interested in” said the CEO.
