Russian Premier League club Krylia Sovetov have announced the signing of Jerry Mbakogu on loan from Carpi.
The contract signed will keep the 23-year-old at Samara until the end of the 2016-2017 season.
The future of Mbakogu had been up in the air following the demotion of Carpi from the Italian top-flight at the end of last season, with the Nigerian frontman also linked with Turkish champs Besiktas aside the interest from Russia.
Born in Lagos, he started off his career with the youth teams of Scorzè Peseggia, Padova and Palermo, and has also represented Juve Stabia.
In 85 outings for Carpi, Jerry Mbakogu, who has committed his international future to Nigeria, netted 24 goals.
