Its hard time for Serie A side, Cremonese. The Lombardy based team are yet to win a game in their first top flight season since 1996.

Their game matchday 16 in the league could have changed the narrative when Super Eagles striker Cyril Dessers struck the upright bar in the 15th minutes and then in the 21st minute, when he scored against the number three team in the standings, Juventus. The referee immediately disallowed the goal. To the total disbelief of Dessers.

Juventus eventual ran away with a late 1-0 win courtesy Arkadiusz Milik’s brilliant free-kick.

The outcome of the game got the red and grey coach Massimiliano Alvini  disgruntled, particularly by the referee’s decision to call for a foul rather than upholding the Dessers’ goal.

“Ayroldi is an excellent referee and is destined to become one of the best in Italy, but if he doesn't whistle, the goal is legal.” Alvini said

“But in that moment he judged the hit foul and whistled. It can happen, I see an error in it and nothing more. But Dessers' goal was valid."

The defeat further pushed Cremonese down to nineteenth while they look for their first win after 7 draws and 9 defeats.
