While head coach Augustine Eguavoen is absent due to medical reasons, assistant coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Ilechukwu are leading the sessions.

The team is aiming to secure a spot in the 2025 tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, following their defeat to Ghana in the 2022 qualifiers.
