Ghana international midfielder Sulley Muntari returned to the AC Milan squad for their 1-0 loss against Atalanta after being omitted from the team last week over his 'condemning' attitude during a Serie A game.
The 30-year-old was axed from the Rossoneris squad during their 2-1 mid-week Coppa Italia win over Sassuolo due to his angry rant in Milan's 1-1 stalemate at Torino last weekend.
Manager Fillipo Inzaghi recalled Muntari into his squad for the game but benched him for the entire duration of the game as Atalanta caused an upset by beating them 1-0.
Milan fans took to Twitter and other social media platforms to express their anger over Muntari's rant and behaviour while some ask the club's top hierarchy to put the suspended Ghana international on sale.
While Muntari made his way into the Milan squad for the game, compatriot Michael Essien was not in the Milan while young striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was unused by Atalanta.
