As part of the NPFL-LaLiga partnership, Valencia CF and other Spanish clubs may play pre-season friendly matches in Nigeria in the near future.

President of Valancia CF, Chan Lay Hoon, made this known while speaking to the media in Alzira on Wednesday after the encounter between Valencia and the NPFL All-Star.

According to Hoon, La Liga is hoping to have more Spanish teams go to Nigeria to build a good relationship.

“Well, I hope Valencia can come to Nigeria some day. La Liga is hoping to have more Spanish teams go to Nigeria to build a good relationship with the league in Nigeria,” Hoon said.

Hoon also praised the fighting spirit of the NPFL All-Star, saying she was impressed with what she saw.

“They gave us a good fight. The Nigerian team is good. I noticed the fighting spirit,” Hoon said.

The last time a European side came to Nigeria was in 2008 when Manchester United and Portsmouth played pre-season friendly games in Nigeria with United playing Portsmouth who later played against Kano Pillars.
