And Solskjaer believes a slight change of role has helped Lukaku to produce his best and begin to develop a more than useful partnership with fellow striker Marcus Rashford.
He told reporters ahead of a high-profile clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday: "I don't think a lot has changed. Of course, he's been asked to play wide a few times earlier on and provide more chances, but now he's more in and around the box.
"We need Rom facing the goal, not with his back to goal.
"Of course we played with two up front, with him and Rashy against PSG. They might form a very nice partnership together, because I wouldn't like to be a defender having them two running at me."
Solskjaer also confirmed that Anthony Martial has recovered from a groin injury and is in contention to feature against the Gunners, while midfield dup Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera may also be back in contention.
United have already won at the Emirates this season, claiming a 3-1 victory in the fourth round of the FA Cup in late January.
They are 2/1 to secure another victory on Sunday, with the Red Devils 10/3 to keep a clean sheet, while Lukaku is priced at 15/8 to score at any time in the game.
