Reggina are preparing a move for the midfielder who spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan with them in what happened to be his second spell at the club.

The 24-year-old first joined Reggina in 2020 on loan from Napoli and impressed, scoring six Serie B goals in 30 appearances.

The Felice Saladini-owned side wanted Folorunsho back at the Stadio Oreste Granillo last year, but Pordenone won the race to his signature.

However, he only stayed at Pordenone until January before he switched to Reggina.

Folorunsho is currently with the Neapolitans in their preseason camp at Dimaro, but it appears he is not in the long-term plans of manager Luciano Spalletti.

The Rome-born midfielder is yet to make a single appearance for Napoli since signing for the side three years ago.
