The Mauve and Yellows travel to the struggling champions hoping to pile more misery on the team.

Kotoko have struggled for form this term while Medeama themselves have been inconsistent this campaign.

Both Kotoko and Medeama could only manage a 1-1 draw against Berekum Chelsea and Liberty Professionals respectively in their last encounter and will be desperate to return to winning ways.

Samuel Adade, a former King Faisal right-back, is buoyant about the chances of the Mauve and Yellows to pile more pressure on the champions in Kumasi this weekend.

“It’s a difficult game for us and we’re looking forward to it,” he said

“We are all hurting from our previous games and will be anxious for the maximum points.

“We are cautiously optimistic about our chances against Kotoko and hopefully we can leave Kumasi with our heads high.

"It's an important game for us to win. We can't afford to slip in Kumasi."

Medeama are 9th on the table while their opponents are languishing in the relegation drop zone.
