Barely a week after securing the services of Super Eagles vice captain William Troost-Ekong, Serie A side Salernitana have switched attention to his compatriot, Paul Onuachu, nigeriasoccernet.comreports.
Being a striker, Onuachu has been a speck to many clubs in the January transfer window as his proficiency of 14 league goals in 18 matches in the Belgian league places him on a high.
Salernitana on the other hand have struggle for goals this scoring 23 goals and conceding 37 in 19 league matches.
Knowing this, the Garnet look to be addressing their challenges by signing an experience defender in William Troost-Ekong on loan till the end of the season and then casting their net in the direction of the KRC Genk striker, Onuachu.
According to a report from Italian media outfit, Napoli Magazine, via Punch Sport, Salernitana have added Super Eagles and KRC Genk striker Onuachu to their transfer wish list for January.
The 28-year-old has been a pivotal player for Genk in recent years and one of the Jupiler Pro League’s star forwards and has netted 83 goals with 10 assists in all competitions since arriving in 2019.
