Umar was ruled out of the season with the dreadful injury after being forced off in the 38th minute of Real Sociedad’s 2-1 loss to Getafe in September.

The injury dashed Umar’s perfect start to life at Sociedad following a record €20 million with another potential €5 million in add-ons move from newly promoted side in La Liga, Almeria.

And it was projected that the striker could be out for six to nine months due to the nature of the injury.

However, it doesn't look like he will be out that long from new revelation given by the striker while speaking in an interview with own goal.com.

The striker said he is recovering fast; a phenomenon the doctors see as a miracle and he looks good to commence training soon.

"I will be four months into my operation and rehabilitation by next month but I feel good already and will resume working on the pitch next month. That is way ahead my schedule, it's a miracle that even my doctors can't believe. I am supposed to be out for six months and the doctors insist has to be that time.

However, I have been told I must be 150% (laughs) fit before I can return inorder not to suffer a relapse but from the look of things I will be back in eight week. We will see to that or maybe even earlier." He said.

The 25-year-old had undergone a successful surgery in September and he was exoected to be out for the remainder of the season.
