Rizespor celebrates Olawoyin first Super Eagles call-up, wishes him success

Turkish Super Lig side, Caykur Rizespor has congratulated Ibrahim Olawoyin on his maiden call-up to the Super Eagles, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Olawoyin was called to replace Bayer Leverkusen forward, Nathan Tella who withdrew from the squad due to family reasons.

His invite means he is up for selection for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.

Rizespor in regard to this, expressed their pride and support for Olawoyin.

"We wish success to our player Ibrahim Olawoyin, who was called up to the squad of the Nigeria national team for the matches against South Africa and Benin in the 2026 World Cup African qualifiers," the club said in a statement.

The former Rangers forward, Olawoyin in his 38 games for Caykur Rizespor this season, registered 8 goals and 4 assists.
