Rivers United, Nigeria's representative on the continent, will be absent from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matches slated for matchdays 27, 28, and 29, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The NPFL has rescheduled their fixtures against Sunshine Stars, Katsina United, and Abia Warriors, citing Rivers United's engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The NPFL, in a memorandum addressed to the clubs, announced the postponement, with a promise to announce new dates for the fixtures.
The Pride of Rivers is set to face USM Algiers in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final clash next weekend.
