Rivers Angels head coach, Tosan Blankson, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a crucial victory when they host FC Robo in Match Week 3 of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership (NWFL) on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.

"Our preparations have been meticulous as usual. Both players and technical staff are primed for the challenge ahead. We're fully prepared to take on Robo and secure a win," Blankson stated.

Acknowledging the strength of table-toppers FC Robo, who have secured six points from two games, Blankson remained optimistic about his team’s chances.

"Robo is a very tough side... We would do everything possible to overturn the table. They would give us a good fight, but we would overcome them."

Rivers Angels midfielder, Ifeoma Ikenokwalu, also echoed the coach’s confidence, believing that the team has what it takes to claim all three points.

"We are good to go. I know they would give us a good fight, but we are going to try our very best and turn the table around."

She also called on the club’s supporters to rally behind the team.

"We're counting on our supporters to stand by us, both in spirit and presence. With their backing, we're confident of securing a 2-0 victory."

Ikenokwalu further expressed her readiness to play a key role in the match.

"I'm ready to score or assist in the match on Wednesday."

With both teams set for a highly anticipated showdown, Rivers Angels will be aiming for a decisive home victory that could propel them to the top of the group table.
