Nigeria Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade has been named as Atletico de Madrid Femenino’s Player of the Season for 2023/24, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The star forward scored 10 goals and provided eight assists for her side, guiding them to qualification for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League preliminary round.
Ajibade proved vital scoring on last matchday to help the Spanish side qualify for the Champions alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid.
She said after the award " I am so excited, I'm really happy. First of all, I'm grateful to God for letting me play in this amazing club and so the fans who voted as the player of the season."
The former FC Robo player stated that the season was full of ups and downs, but she was grateful that her team qualified for the Champions League.
