Balogun in consecutive matches have churned out great performances.

First was against Millwall in the championship on Wednesday where his team won by two goals to nil in the 34-year-old's full debut.

And over the weekend where his solidity in defense helped his side to a clean sheet and goalless result against Stock City.

Michael Beale, the manager in charge of the QPR team took out time to praise one of the "Oyinbo Walls" of the Super Eagles after the draw.

“Big credit goes to the team (for keeping two clean sheets in two games). But obviously, Leon Balogun coming in is significant. His coming in has given us an experience and I’m not going to say hope, because he won’t like that, but he is an experienced head in the back four.”

Balogun is injured and could not make it for the Nigeria, Algeria friendly affair, but has since been replaced by Valentine Ozornwafor.

He is likely to return for the championship side by October 1st when they play Bristol City.
