PSG sarongs talk of Paris Fashion Week

Just when you thought you'd seen it all in terms of football merchandise, a French fashion designer comes along to prove you wrong. Very wrong.

Paris Saint-Germain have gone and upped the ante by collaborating with street couture brand Koche to produce what can only be described as a replica jersey/sarong hybrid, as unveiled during Paris Fashion Week.

The ensembles on display at the Koche X PSG spring-summer 2018 show featured designs spliced together from various fragments of different football shirts that were then reconstituted to form an array of avant-garde dresses, gowns and robes.

Whether we see the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani taking to the pitch while wearing them at some point in the near future remains to be seen.
