PREMIER - Man Utd thought about ‘possibility’ of signing Bayern midfielder

Manchester United were in contact with Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich before he penned a new contract with the German giants. The 26-year-old decided to commit his long-term future to the club by signing a fresh deal with Die Roten.

Joshua was always expected to pen a contract extension with the club but ahead of fresh contract, a few clubs tested the water with the player over a possible switch.

It has been stated that the midfielder was also wanted in England. According to German outlet Bild, the Red Devils knocked on his door to explore the possibility of taking Kimmich to the Premier League.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been in the market for a new player in the midfield and the idea to sign Joshua was explored. But the versatile player did not answer their call and pledged his future to the Bundesliga giants.
