Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that Paul Pogba is now facing longer than expected on the sidelines.
Pogba, 24, injured his hamstring in the 3-0 Champions League win against Basel on Sept. 12 and has not featured for United since.
Sources told ESPN FC that a decision was set to be made this week over whether the midfielder would require surgery.
Speaking at a news conference ahead of United's Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Mourinho said: "He's injured, he cannot play tomorrow and it's not an injury that I can have the hope like I have with [Antonio] Valencia or [Phil] Jones.
"I have the hope to see them in training and to have a positive answer, so long-term injuries I don't speak about them.
"So Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] and Pogba and [Marcos] Rojo, these players I don't think about them."
