As the Christian Pulisic rumours to Bayern Munich continue, the FC panel question if the time is right for the young American.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang accepts he needs to face up to criticism of his recent Borussia Dortmund performances, but added in Bild that things should not be blown out of proportion.
Aubameyang, 28, has become one of the symbols for Dortmund's current crisis, which has seen them win only one of their last seven matches -- a 5-0 DFB Pokal win at third-tier club Magdeburg.
The Gabon international has not found the back of the net since scoring a brace in BVB's 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig in October -- a run of five consecutive matches without a goal.
"It is expected of me that I score goals," Aubameyang, who stayed behind with Dortmund during the international break, told Bild.
"That's my job. I face up to criticism even though I don't think everything's fair. I know that I now need to score goals again. But there've been periods like this before."
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has struggled in front of goal of late.
Aubameyang remains on 95 Bundesliga goals for Dortmund, just one short of Tony Yeboah's record for the most goals scored in the German top flight by an African.
Dortmund travel to Stuttgart on Friday as they look to secure their first Bundesliga win since the 2-1 victory at Augsburg on Sept. 30, before next week hosting Tottenham in the Champions League and local rivals Schalke in the league.
Ahead of a crucial week for the club and head coach Peter Bosz, Aubameyang voiced his support for the former Ajax boss.
"I usually always have a good relationship with my coaches. That's important to me," he said. "And I think that he's a good coach."
