Officials of Petrolul will arrive in Kumasi on Tuesday morning to finalise negotiations ahead of a high-profile international friendly against Ghanaian giants Kotoko.

On Monday GHANAsoccernet.com broke the news about the BIG friendly between the Roman giants and the Ghanaian powerhouse scheduled to take place in Kumasi in September.

Four top officials of the top-flight club, who played in Europa League last year, are expected to conclude the deal that will be one of the biggest friendly matches for a club in Ghana in recent times.

Petrolul officials will meet Kotoko CEO Opoku Nti and other officials to put pen to paper over the much-awaited deal.

The Romanian club are currently third on their league table and will offer a good test for Kotoko in their quest to face some of the top European sides.

The massive clash with the former Europa League campaigners has been mooted by Ghanaian agent Eric Oppong who has been combing the world to bring some of the best sides in Europe to play Ghanaian clubs.

The initiative is a move by the current Kotoko CEO to bring some big clubs in the world to Kumasi shore up dwindling support for the club at home while establishing its status as one of the finest in Africa.

The star-studded Romanian side will travel to Kumasi in early September to face the Porcupine Warriors in a massive move by the former African champions to maintain their status in Ghana as one of the top clubs in the world.
