Nigerian forward, Cyriel Dessers has expressed his excitement after completing a permanent transfer to Greek Super League champions Panathinaikos, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Dessers has signed a three-year contract with the Greens after leaving Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

The 30-year-old striker, who joined Rangers from Cremonese in 2023, scored 52 goals in 115 appearances for the club.

He was the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership last season with 19 goals.

On his move, Dessers in excitement revealed how good of a team the Greek side is.

"Panathinaikos are a very good team. I saw their atmosphere and history. They create a lot of chances, and my game is getting into the box and scoring goals.

"But for me, winning titles is the most important thing,” he told the club’s official website.

Dessers is expected to make join the team after the international break.
