In an interview with the club's official website, Osimhen said: "There is no competition between us and the center forwards. I knew that Galatasaray was a very good team before I came. I will try to contribute as well."

The Nigerian striker, who joined on loan from Napoli two weeks ago, will compete with Mauro Icardi, Michy Batshuayi, and Burak Yilmaz for a starting spot.

However, he expressed his admiration for his teammates, saying: "Icardi is a legend of this game. Batshuayi is also a very important and deadly forward. I definitely have things to learn from both of them."

Osimhen made a promising debut for Galatasaray on Saturday, providing an assist in their 5-0 win over Caykur Rizespor.

Reflecting on the match, he said: "It was a very important match. It was very valuable that we won the first match with a big difference. I am happy here. We want to continue like this and win every match."
