Ghana’s Group C opponents Senegal beat Gabon 1-0 in a pre-Nations Cup friendly played in Casablanca on Friday.
The Lions of Teranga’s goal was scored by Moussa Sow in the 68th minute by converting a spot-kick after Stoke City striker Mame Biram Diouf was fouled inside the box.
This is the first warm-up match for Alain Giresse’s side ahead of the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
The second and final pre-tournament friendly will be played on 13 January 13 against AFCON finalists Guinea.
Senegal's first match will be against tournament favourites Ghana on 19 January at the Mongomo Stadium.
