Super Falconet star players at the U-20 women's world cup, Esther Onyedineze and Deborah Abiodun have expressed excitement following their call to join the senior team.
The starlets were among the four falconet players who were named by Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum for the friendly against the USWT.
Deborah Abiodun, Esther Onyenezide, Rofiat Imuran, and Tosin Demehin were all part of the U-20 women's world cup team invited Waldrum.
"And so it begins, my first call up to the Super Falcons. So proud and excited about this huge opportunity with the senior team. Onyedenize, 19 said via a Twitter post.
"Can’t wait to learn, grow and gain more experience as well as continue doing my country proud. Thank you all for your support,"
Abiodun, 18 also took to Twitter to express her delight.
"Excited to be called up to the @NGSuper_Falcons squad for the friendly against the United States.
This is a dream come true & a rare opportunity to wear the represent at the senior level. Grateful to everyone who have contributed to my journey so far for their support"
The Falcons will play the United States Women's National Team in a double header on Saturday 3rd September, and the Tuesday 6th of September, 2022.
