Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote, was happy his team kick-started the season with a point on the road.
However, the tactician revealed he would have been happier, had his side clinched the maximum points against Nasarawa United.
Samuel Ayanrinde came off the bench, four minutes from time to cancel out the Solid Miners goal, scoring in the added time to ensure a share of the spoils.
In his post-match chat with the media after the NPFL Matchday One encounter, Oracle, as the gaffer is popularly, known described the result as a 'two-point loss' for his team.
"Being the first game, I want to say I'm happy for the one point because it is better than nothing but I think as far as I'm concerned, it's a two points loss for me because it's a game we needed to have wrapped, but going home with a point, I think its enough to console us"
Speaking further, the former Remo Stars, Sunshine Stars, and Rangers International handler explained that he knew his side would not lose the game, even when it appeared the homers would run away with the one-goal lead.
"I didn't see us losing the game, all we just needed to do, was just to get ourselves stabilized and take authority and the moment we did just that, you can see that the chances kept coming.
"The team (Nasarawa United) just got promoted, you need to see their fight in the first half. All we needed to do was to soak the pressure, and having done that, we came all out in the second half" added the ex Enyimba FC tactician.
